Profile Pictures
This is a subject that I want to write about because I think that many people do not take the importance of what it can do to their branding! I have networked on alot for sites for my business. Each time I clicked on a members profile the FIRST thing that stuck out was their picture. That was the first think I noticed on all of the thousands of profiles I have viewed!
Now be honest, you look at the photo also in the beginning to the process of getting into the profile! Now thi…

Having a website is not that hard to do. Technology has made it where just about any one can create a website for little or no money. I did a quick search for some of the sites that offer such free services and many of them are professional looking and offer the opportunity to upgrade your account to offer more features.
Yet if you only need the basic services of the free websites, then I completely suggest trying them. I think most people get scared thinking they can’t do it, they no little ab…

When you start to focus on what you desire – YOU WILL CHANGE!
“Things do not change; we change.“~ Henry David Thoreau ~
As you start to focus on what you desire – your behaviors will begin to change. And as you begin to reach your goals and receive your desires – you will change.
If your desire is to have more money, and you focus on having that, you will change – you will find yourself behaving with more ease of spending as your money increases. You will begin to think and act with mo…

As an internet marketer I am interested in keeping up with
new ideas and trends in internet marketing. Since I have
been on the internet for a long time doing things like
creating my own internet city, website promotion, making

leaps and bounds.
Today, in order to be relevant in internet marketing your
website or blog has to do more than just be a static webpage,
now you have to have content and different methods to share
that content su…

Critical thinking is a term that has become the newest buzz word. In reviewing the American Heritage Dictionary definition of ‘think, thinking’—one finds a broad in-depth definition—one that includes the definition of ‘critical thinking.’ Why then have we coined the term ‘critical thinking’ as if it has a new meaning and those who aren’t in the ‘know’ about what critical thinking is—well, they just aren’t as smart or astute as those who use the term ‘critical thinking.’
In my ‘thinking’ and und…

Many many small businesses and micro-businesses are naively or knowingly generators of uninvited and unwelcome e-marketing and e-sales “content”. Lured by the extremely low cost of email marketing, these stressed out, downsized (and desperate?) businesses assume that more is better! “Send our message, pitch, special-of-the-week or news out to anyone and everyone!”

Fred just got hired as a consultant for a financial services company. This new position is different from the previous job since this will require a lot of traveling. There will be a lot of changes, and getting organized is the best thing to do before doing anything.
The first that needs to be done is to organize the office. Some things are needed more frequently on the desk while others need only to be used once in a while. The person can organize this by frequency.
The table can ha…

MOTIVATION – A Mission Statement
By Nikki Viljoen of N Viljoen Consulting CC
The majority of big Corporate Companies all have their own Mission Statement. Usually they are placed strategically for the world to see, at reception, or on a wall that you would look at as you enter the building or the office. Why do you think that is? I’ve always thought that it is to tell all their customers, even the really unhappy ones that are about to blow the place to hell, exactly what it is that they promi…

MOTIVATION – Heros
By Nikki Viljoen of N Viljoen Consulting CC
It is said that “heroes are the people who do what has to be done, when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.”
Well ain’t that the truth! That’s probably why heroes are usually leaders too, I am sure! They get things done and not only do they get them done, but they also take responsibility for the consequences of their actions.
For me it is just easier to get the thing done, than it is to sit around, looking at e…

Social media can be either a marvelous tool or an enormous time waster. Don't you agree?
I'm sure you agree with the latter. You've spent time on Ning sites and probably on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and others as well.
While it's easy to become addicted to social media, it's hard to come away with tangible results.
Looking for some ideas?

MOTIVATION – Our Own Minds
By Nikki Viljoen of N Viljoen Consulting CC
Jameson frank says “Our Greatest battles are those that are fought in our own minds.”
Ain’t that the truth and wouldn’t the world be a much better place if that were the only place battles were fought?
I know, that for me on a personal level, the time I took out from my clients between the 19th of December 2008 and the 4th January 2009, served not only as a rest period, but also gave me a chance to finish off some of the…

Hey gang,
As I ride the wave of my own personal internet marketing learning curve, I see others who have wiped out and are struggling to get back on the board, as well as some who seem to be having the time of their lives as they move skillfully toward the coast. No matter where you are right now, you have probably waded in the same waters as many others who have taken a trial and error approach to marketing online.
I'm sure you have tried or seriously considered:

It is a time to reflect on what we have accomplished in the past year. Was it what you had planned at the start of 2008? Did you reach the goals you set for yourself last January 1st. If so, Congratulations! What caused you to be successful? Ready to make new resolutions to overcome this year?
If you did not reach your goals, why not? What sidetracked you? Was it one of the big four of Fear, Focus, Life, or Lack of a Plan? What do you need to do differently in 2009 to make this the Best Year Ev…

I hear the phrase all the time saying "Become a Leader and people will follow!". Take a look at Barack Obama, a TRUE leader. Study men like Benjamin Franklin, Bill Gates, Sam Walton, or Ted Turner. How about the women? Hillary Clinton, Rosa Parks, Diane Hochman ( And if you don't know who Diane Hochman is then Google her, I DARE YOU! )
All of these people are GREAT LEADERS because they have had GREAT MENTORS. Look at Larry Brauner, he didn't create his success solely on his own. Each and every…

I’ve been active on Yahoo Answers, Yedda, LinkedIn and other sites that are built around asking and answering questions.
Even though I don’t have a whole lot of answers, I enjoy finding them for others. It is strange in a way, because I seem more motivated to find the answer if I am doing it for someone else. I guess it comes from wanting to please others.
There is an added benefit in that I research new topics and gain general knowledge for myself in the process. One thing I didn’t expect tho…
