I just learned that
Donald J. Trump, the billionaire investor, has started a new venture, and that he is looking for regular people like you and me to join him in it.
I'm sending you to a website where Mr. Trump explains in his own words what it is that he's doing, and you can request more information.
I tend to be skeptical about these things, but I figure that if Trump himself is behind this, more likely than not it
is a real opportunity.…

Must confess that this is sort of a rhetorical question.
As with most rhetorical questions, it's leading to a point.

A web developer knows how to build a website and how to create a web page that interacts effectively with visitors.
Web developers can often organize information and design web sites with great visual appeal.
Generally speaking however, web developers are neither experienced Internet marketers nor skilled...

I'm giving my friends advanced notice of a new and free site to help you network and grow your following.
This isn't one of those gimmicks or scams going around. It
is a networking site created to facilitate connecting with other social media users.
Please join as soon as possible before I start promoting the site on Twitter so that as many new members as possible will be exposed to your profile and discussions on the site.
Here's a link to the site:…

Social media can be either a marvelous tool or an enormous time waster. Don't you agree?
I'm sure you agree with the latter. You've spent time on Ning sites and probably on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and others as well.
While it's easy to become addicted to social media, it's hard to come away with tangible results.
Looking for some ideas?
Then read my latest article,
Social Media T…

Just have to share my excitement today.
I woke up and discovered that @
larrybrauner is in the top 50 Twitter users based on reach as reported by
twInfluence. Actually #47 with a reach of 13,786,275.
I
didn't use smoke and mirrors or any gimmicks. I only used sound social media concepts.
To get an understanding of how I approach,…

February has been an amazing month so far.
I watched my blog readership grow by more than 20%, and as I write this, I have over 10,000 followers on Twitter.
Many people are using gimmicks such as friend adders, and as best as I can tell, they don't do much. They just make eyes roll.
My suggestion is to go back to basics.
To help, I've written several articles and assembled lots of great Twitter resources.
Start with…

In
my recent interview with
Stacey Chadwell I spoke of the need to narrow our social media focus and to counter the potentially overwhelming Web 2.0 candy store effect.
One of my most successful articles of 2008 was a piece titled
The 80/20 Rule. I was thinking recently how…

You can now mail to 500 friends on a Ning site, up from 100.
You must have no more than 500 friends on a site to use "Message to All Friends" on that site.
What that means is that you no longer have to restrict your connections to 100 to be able to use this convenient feature. The new limit is much easier to work with.
Thank you Ning!
I've written a number of
Ning articles on my blog as well as…

In the past I found ways to leverage LinkedIn, Direct Matches, Yuwie, Ning and blogging effectively.
I've recently accomplished the same with Twitter.
One of the Twitter myths is that you have to tweet a lot and contribute great content to brand yourself and get hordes of followers. That's not completely true. You do have to contribute and avoid spamming, but not as much as people believe.
A couple of months ago, after nine months on Twitter, I had a few hundred followers. Then I cracked the…

I'm beginning a transition period -- not because it's a new year -- but because I'm leaving my job at
IDT Corporation next Friday.
I was at IDT a little more than three years, and I'm leaving with good feelings and fond memories.
I'm charting a new course and welcome any out of the box suggestions you'd care to make. My mind is very much open.
Changing the subject, I have many ambitions for our networking site -- more activity, more members, more…
